How to apply my own favicon.ico to all folders?

I have put my own favicon.ico on the root, but when I click on other folder, appears the default HFS icon.
How can I apply it to all folders?

For HTML:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico">

For xHTML:
<link re="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico"/>

Try that in the </head> of your template. Might work.

I see the little change regarding the default <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" />
