Hi,
HFS is quite secure.... but if someone knows your IP, and do a simple port scan, he can easily find your hfs server.

So, is it possible to add a password to hfs server? I mean password WITHOUT username. --- Everybody should input this password.

This will be very useful when you share files with a GROUP of people.....

Just create one account (Example: "Login") and set a password for it, next thing you have to do is restrict access to the root for user "Login".

Simply give the username and password to the ppl you want to acces

Multiple users for one account? That's what I've been worry about.
I just tried---- I set a new user/pass, then restrict access - anonymous ----but nothing changes.

Can I add the username and pswd into server address, like a ftp address ? - http://username:password@IP:port/

You dont need to restrict access for anonymous users, this is the exact opposite of what you are trying to achieve. Restrict the root for the user you just created.

Username is mandatory.
Password is not.

You may just use the username field as password, leaving the password field empty, and that's it.
