Holy #@*!!*! that is awesome! I am gonna find out which OS they run it off of, but regardless of that, this shows it's raw power and potential.  Take that Apache and IIS :!:
HFS is gonna make other webservers it's bitches hehehe.  ;)    :P
This is great news. This thing deserves more awards. :D

It's running on Windows Server 2003 for anyone interested. Thanks to netcraft.com I didn't have to run my own app to sniff out the OS.
Thus, I didn't need to look like a hacker/pen-tester to that nice site or. ;) I don't want to cause trouble or alarm the  Taiwan Academic Network with OS fingerprinting.
Just wondered what he/they were running it off of. I think I will try migrating to that OS for a try. :D Maybe I can improve my own uptime.

Here si the link:
http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?site=whd.thjh.ttct.edu.tw

Sadly the uptime is not on netcrafts records since site probably wasn't query enough for tracking it but HFS did the job better anyhow.
 B)

It's a nice fast responding site I will say that much. A good testment of what can be done by HFS. :D

thats like exactly 2 years, you diabolical! thats really impressive ROFL

how do they manage to keep a windows computer on for that long :P, i have heard XP will ask for a reboot or auto-reboot after 30 or so days...

also, i think your post is a fake, provide a link so we can all verify this... 730days is too accurate on 2 years for my liking :P

I thought it sounded a bit dodgy too but after about 20 pages of a google search I found it although the link that google points too only says an uptime of 16hrs now.

Link
Its the last one on that page
The only other longest uptimes I've found so far are 30 days or less

Edit: Longest is 88 days

Strange: On 25th of July it has the same uptime (730 days) as on 18th of July !!!???
Either an "edited" template or a bug in the HFS counter??

Cool, i think that is old info in the google cache,

http://ayuready.no-ip.com:9394/shared%20files/%A1i%B0%CA%BA%A9%B5e%A1j/%A1iH%20comics%A1j/%AB%D5%B4%E5%A5%D5%AE%D1H%BA%A9(%A4%E9)

The server has only been up 20ish hours now. Interesting to know when that was cached...
oh found i just now...

25/7/07, very impressive, although the host should think of upgrading to the new version  ;D

Who told you that? You can run a NT-based computer for as long as you like. I guess you read of the 49.7 days problem that exists in the 9x kernel editions of Windows

Dont think ive had an uptime over a week or so on xp and maybe 2 weeks or so on server 2003. 2 years is unthinkable. Only way to keep windows from restarting itself would be to disable automatic updates...and not update it all all......hmmmm... that makes me curious as to how many holes that box has...now its going to bother me untill i fire up nessus and scan it.

The uptime counter is not very useful in its current implementation. I think it would be better to change its behavior:

Case 1: You are switching your computer off overnight (or similar cases). Counter should reset.

Case 2: You have a very short downtime (<2 mins or so) just for updating HFS. In this case the counter should not reset. This is my opinion. I got the impression many people out there don't update their HFS for a long time just to keep the counter countin'.
