I'm spanish, but I understand reasonably good the english. I made all that seems needed to share but, when I send to my friend the url (that is http://(my ip)/(the file)) it says that the page can not be showed. I don't know why it happens. By the way, this program makes possible to share in a no LAN, no? So through internet (he from his home and me from my home). I expect that it happens due to the url but I don't know which I have to put if it isn't "http://(my ip)/(the file)". I can't view the file menu (I right click on the window but it doesn't show all the options, like set url, and other options). If someone could help me I would very appreciate it. Sorry about my english. Thanks

Yes, I have dsl conection and I'm behind a router (I don't know which is the difference between a router and a modem router), but I have opened the ports (by the way I have to open the ports of my computer ip no?). I didn't try to use the self test. What is it. How to do it?. Well, thanks a lot and good luck.

I opened the port 80 (the default), and in the napt window its says 80/http. Buy today the HFS says that it can not open the port 80 (yesterday it can) and I have opened the 4592 but in the napt window doesn't say 4592/http. It says 4592/4592. Only for your knowing. Thanks a lot.

But, if the url is http://(my computer ip)/(the file's name) it's probably that there would be a lot of computers with the same ip in the world. Thanks

I can see no reason why it won't work from any ISP.  Give it a try.
