This Glossary is not a comprehensive computer science dictionary. Instead, it aims to provide a helpful guide to the language used in the HFS documentation.
- Context file menu
- Dummy definition.
- Easy mode
- HFS operation mode suitable for beginners. More advanced Menus and options are hidden.
- Expert mode
- HFS operation mode for advanced users. All Menus, options and other facilities are immediately available.
- HFS
- Abbreviation for Http File Server.
- HTML
- Abbreviation for Hypertext Markup Language. Used to create Internet pages.
- Http
- Abbreviation for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. Also HTTP. The communications protocol that enables Web browsing..
- HTTPS
- Abbreviation for HTTP Over SSL. A protocol that enables the secure transmission of Web pages..
- Real folder
- An HFS folder that exists on the server host's hard disk. Normally colored red.
- SSL
- Dummy definition.
- STunnel
- Dummy definition.
- URL
- Dummy definition.
- VFS
- Abbreviation for Virtual File System.
- Virtual folder
- Dummy definition.
