IMPORTANT: HFS ERROR---> Is it a bug with HFS?

Hey it's been atleast 10 times that I'm getting an error due to HFS.

So here's the error:

I have HFS 2.3 beta #171..I had HFS 2.3 beta #165 at first. I updated to #171 but i'm still getting the errors sometimes n it really annoys me.. So can you help me please? Whats the problem? Is it with my pc or HFS?

1. Was the problem present in #165 ?
2. how often does it happen?
3. can you see any relation between the error and what happens to HFS in the same time?
4. are you able to reproduce the problem at your wish?


If this is not enough, i can give you a special version to you that will show us more info about the problem.

It was present in #165..then I shifted to #167..still same problem..so I updated to #171....Same thing!!!!!!!!! I don't know how many times it happened..But when it happens, a window pop up 3 times with the msg I posted above.. Thats really annoying.. So with build #165 when I was getting this problem, HFS stops responding.. I forgot if with #167 HFS stops responding after the error message.. but with #171 though I get the error message, HFS still responds to me. But the people downloading from me are disconnected.. I have to kick them so that they can download again.. NO I can't reproduce it.. It happens just like that. The other day it happened when i was viewing a movie.. There was a text document on my desktop.. Its name is Exceptionslog.. Here is what it contains:

As you see, hmmm the error happened 3 times I think. So any advice... Is the problem from my side?

Your error list seems growing and there are no complaits about your error with this versions in the forum.

Are you sure that there is no underlying hardware problem with your PC?

In your place I would try with a complete RAM-Test for some hours, and remove things like tv-cards or whatever else that's not needed.

I to had problems with 2.3 beta build 171, I went back to build 169 and everything is fine. no more errors. First time I notice any problem when using HFS, great program, Thanks for writing it.
been using 169 now for 3hr 34min currently, and yesterday i was running 169 for around 6-7hrs and no error windows, but when running 171 i notice 1 error window. something about access to HFS.exe

hi andy, are you sure your problem is related to the one posted in this topic?
the only way for you to know is to see if the first address reported in the message is the same (and it is valid only for the same build, 171 with 171, etc).
if your problem is different, as i guess it is, then you should start a new topic, and report the message.
