Hi,
After i updated To HFS 2.2b my friends not being able to find my pc on the net. Earlier they were able to do so.
The only change i had made after updation is i had changed the port number . and then again switched back to port 80.
So, that is not a big thing.
Any solution???????????

Is it on? Sure you used port 80 before? Is port 80 port forwarded in your router? Has your IP changed and DNS didn't update (sometimes the HFS dns updater can need a kick in the guts after an update)?  Are you giving out the correct IP if no DNS? Firewalls aren't blocking their connections?

TRIED Everything....
Did self test... with firewall on... but the self test failed.
Then i just closed the ZoneALARM.and did the selftest again but it failed again.
Don't know where the problem is ????
Initially  2.2a version also used to run behind Zonealarm and had no problems.
I am not using Any kind of routers or port forwarding.
Ya, i am having dynamic ip. but it does not changes until i reconnect to my isp. after logging out...
Earlier, i used to do this.....
downloaded dns updater. Registered a free url and forwarded my dynamic ip to that url :
the URL WAS sdaljeet.mine.nu
I am able to browse my pc using this url and also i with my ip address(i have got public ip)
But nor my friends are able to view this page or browse with my ip neither i am able to do so from my office or from elsewhere.

until the self test fails, you can be sure your internet friends cannot see you.
but the self test says what the problem is. what's the message?

did you try another port? if that works then your isp is filtering port 80

NO NEED OF ANY OTHER PORT BECAUSE WHEN I WENT FOR SELF TEST HFS SCANNED ALL THE PORTS AND THE ERROR WAS THIS MESSAGE:
THE TEST FAILED:SERVER DID NOT ANSWER
YOU MAY BE BEHIND A FIREWALL
ENSURE THAT NOTHING IS BLOCKING HFS.
As i said Earlier, I tried Self test with Firewall on and also after Shutting down Firewall And My firewall shows that HFS is connected to internet and i have also given it access to act as server.
Does not quiet get what is the problem.

I've never used self test before but that error message doesn't seem to contradict the suggestions by Foggy and others.  I would also suggest trying a different port.

Even i have never used self test, I do not understand even when there is no firewall or even when firewall is on i have given full access to hfs then how can this error message come???
Secondly, I have just used another personal web server application & my pc is not accessible by my friends even after using that appl.(Earler both the s/w,incl hfs used to work)
So, i have now turned off my Firewall permanently, will contact isp as they might have changed certain settings at their level.and then will get back to you..
Thanks for the help.
