Like i've said, i think this is not a bug with my template, i am importing fine here with build 86, i think its a new bug with HFS.

Hey guys, in my ToG thread i have a lot of people posting about not being able to import my template with build 88, is this a problem with my template, or with build 88. I can't see how it could be my template causing this, unless it is because the .tpl was created by the older build (using 86 still), but even still, it should just import the code, lol.

This must be a problem with your template.  Build 088 works fine here importing all kinds of templates except your latest version that I just tried.  I had an old version 2 of yours kicking around in one of my dead folders which imported fine.  So the problem appears to be with your newer versions.  Why, I don't know.

Maybe my HFS (build 86) is exporting wrong... somehow... i will download build 88 and import then re-export them, see how i go, i don't understand why this is happening....

WOW, blank page, WTF!!! ok, i will copy/paste, then re-export, see what happens.

EDIT: ok doing that seemed to work, it imports fine now, i will re-export them all.

OK, RE-DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE DEFAULT DOWNLOAD LINK

Strange.... the only thing i can think of is that the problem arises from the ToG being manually encoded by default as UTF-8 unicode.... because my old template the 'orange/blue template', which was updated using build 86, loads in fine, but it isn't UTF-8.

First I just have to say that is a great template! Thank you very much!

Second just a little fix to the thumbnail so you don't have to make a copy of every picture at a lower size. All you have to do is start HFS, click on Menu->Edit HTML template.

Then scroll down to where it says [file.jpg = file.bmp = file.gif = file.png] and replace whats below it with this:

Code: [Select]
<tr class=off onmouseover="this.className='on'" onmouseout="this.className='off'"><td class=rw style="padding:0px;border-left:0px;"><a href="%item-url%" target=_blank><div class=thumb onmouseout="popUp(event,'t4')" onmouseover="popUp(event,'t4')"><div class=thumb><img src="%item-url%" width="50" height="50"></div></div><br><br>&nbsp;%item-name%</a>%new%%comment%</td>
<td class=rw align=center>%item-size%</td>
<td class=rw align=center>%item-modified%</td>
<td class=rw align=center>%item-dl-count%</td>
</tr>

Basically all I did was change part of the code so that instead of looking for a thumbnail that you created it would just load the image at a smaller size.

lol if you don't mind downloading a 5mb image like i have on my server as a 50x50 image then go for it :P just get a program that auto generates them with a few clicks :P

We don't like to use <img> for the thumbnails, css ftw. the method you posted is like the type of thing we did in the very beginning of creating thumbnails :D and it is not a fix.

Around easter i plan to release a new build.

I have some trouble with BrowsableFolderTree. If folder name contains sharp symbol (ie "#Music"), then if i click this folder or any of deeper folders i will be moved to last sharp-symbol-free level.

Different characters can break javascript codes, we have our mp3 script encoded, but not the folder names cause windows doesn't accept most problem javascript characters in folder names, I might talk to Giant Eagle and Flynsarmy about implementing folder name encoding. It shouldn't increase the code too much, but even still, sometimes even url encoding wont fix strange characters like #, a simple fix is, DONT USE # before the folder name haha.

I would just like it on record that I believe the new HFS login screen takes it from behind.

It looks fine, if you don't like it, go to hell :D

My HFS hasn't even been on for about 2 weeks so no one can see the new login page until i have my internet back on full speed.

Flynsarmy is the only one that doesn't like it so far. Because he is boring. And i don't take advice from guest posters that post with fake email addresses. If you want to suggest any changes to my template become a member. Getting sick of 'guests' complaining about our hard work when they don't even bother to register and log in.

I hope to release the next build around easter. WITH my new login page. and a few other small features, hey can someone make a list of all windows media player streaming formats for me? so i can set those filetypes to be able to stream with windows media player.

I will attach a .gif of the new login page, then you can judge for yourselves. Just gimmi a few minutes to screenshot it.

Screenshot DONE (taken on new laptop :D)

I like it ^^

And correct me if im wrong, but WMA is stream-able too, just like WMV.
MPG and AVI, however, are NOT stream-able.

Cool. I have all these already.  :D

.mpg is stream-able, i think there are others as well... on the template i currently have .wmv, .mpg, .wma, and .mp3 with its own section for the flash streamer.
