I downloaded it from here: http://rejetto.com/hfs/?f=dl  and it says "Last version: 2.0" so I guess its 2.0

so, you are never able to run HFS, or the problem comes up sometimes?

Check the properties of your HFS desktop icon.  Make sure the path is correct.  From what you are saying I don't think it is.

Also with explorer, go into the HFS folder and click on hfs.exe.  Does it work then?  It should.  If not you have other problems.

Like I said above, check the properties (right click on the HFS desktop icon) and make sure the paths are correct.  If nothing happens when you click on the HFS desktop icon, it is not finding hfs and the supporting files.

Just tested...

1. Actual hfs.exe on desktop -> Works.
2. Shortcut to hfs.exe on desktop -> Works.

No problems here.  Out of those two options the shortcut to hfs.exe is a better choice IMHO.  At least with that option everything is done and updated in your hfs folder where all of the hfs created files and any other hfs supporting files will be located.

You have other problems not related to HFS if you can't access from your desktop.

When I downloaded hfs I just got hfs.exe, there wasn't a folder or anything.
