File upload with version 1.6a

Hello,

i using version 1.6a of this great software and i found the part [upload]
of the default template ot this version. Is it possible to upload files with this version on how?

No, file uploading is only supported in 2.0 versions.

So i have to wait that 2.0 comes final...

Did anybody knows when this is or can is it recommended to use the beta version for production site (means how many serious bugs are in and did the structure or the name in the template file change until the final release)?

latest beta is stable unless you are using "speed limit", some people reported instability with that

Don't using speed limit.

PS: Hope to see the final 2.0 version of this great software soon.
It's a very attractive solution to share documents inside the company on a department level. We use it for our complete technical product documentation. Everybody can dowload from each folder but only the associated product manager can upload or change the content (at the moment only over ftp, but hope to can avoid this with the second version).
