are you talking about limiting per-connection or per-file ?

Hey,
I'm talking about the files ... but a connection limit would be nice too.
Both are cool ideas. ;)

Bye,

Ohh, now i understand your point rejetto.
I really meant the connections on one file ... not the file itself ... so everyone which ist downloading one file has the same downloadspeed like the other one downloading the same file. Understood?

ICQ: 270-755-031 ;)

er... no
A and B are downloading the same file.
do you need to slow down only A or both?

i think what he means is that each ip address connected to hfs is given equal bandwidth. eg instead of 1 ip using 20kB/s and another using 30kB/s they instead both use 25kB/s.

per IP bandwidth throttling would be nice.
being able to see the complete progress of an upload when the other person is using multiple connctions. ( i find it hard to tell the persons speed and overall % when they are using a download manager which uses multiple connections at a time )

also just wondering how the Static Root implementation is coming along as its the one thing i am really dying to have.

Ok, I meant that you can limit anything, per file (so A has 20 kb and B has 45) and per ip (A has at all 40 and B at all 40, too)

understood?

just wondering. say i have a folder that has 200 .avis in and i want the folder to be browseable but not for ppl to download the files. is there anyway i could easily set a password to all 200 of those files without just locking the entire folder ?

hmm, no, for now you got to do the job for 200 files.
i hope in the future there will be a better solution.
but please notice that if you they job using the keyboard only (and accounts) it is much faster: menu-key, R, account-key. you could even automate with macros' software.

that's already so
if 2 connections get different speed, is because one of them is slow

it's easy to ask... what do you want? everything :)
such things not only takes time to be done, but one of them may be incompatible with others, or create ambiguity and the user doesn't realize what it will actually do.

2.0 beta24 @ www.rejetto.com/temp/hfs2.0beta24.zip

what's new
+ shell context menu: checkbox instead of add/delete (moved to Other options)
+ first start: a dialog suggest to enable shell integration
+ Menu -> Upload -> "Number files on upload instead of overwriting"
+ "Ignore limits" for accounts
* save options -> "delete" replaced by "Clear options and quit"
- "delete partial uploads" disables "rename partial uploads"
- download tray icons' tips were sometimes outdated
- files from the shell were not added to the selected folder
- adding files with same name from the shell, did not focus the dialog
- fixed the "Cannot make a visible window modal"
- real folders were not checked for existence (404)
- "leave disconnected connections" prevented tray icons from being removed
- tray icons now display total percentage, to be consistent with the main window
- address2name bad message on duplicates
