2.0 beta23 @ www.rejetto.com/temp/hfs2.0beta23.zip

what's new
+ should be 50% faster (you can notice it in LAN)
- should fix the "No buffer space available" bug
- fixed a compatibility issue with Download Express
- now prevent files from being renamed using illegal characters

It is only one step... Can you prevent it for folders, too (in VFS) ?
e.g. 1. Create new folder in VFS
       2. Choose "Rename"
       3. Now you can name it "/\/\/\/\" (or similar dumb name)
       4. The folder doesn't work in the browser for obvious reasons

Tested with beta23!

P.S. Now I'll try out Download Express...  B)

Yes we're talking about HTML  :rage:
You are right, I mean the / character. The browser threats it as seperator, it should not be allowed in a folder/filename. Sorry, it was late...  :#)

Now there is Download Express - I'll have to cancel the test because DE is damn slow and does not work properly (now it even broke the connection!). This is wasted time.   I think I'll get the other program mentioned here and try again.

Finished tests with Getright and 10GB file. The file is downloaded OK only if you don't use segmenting. I think it is a problem with Getright. But I can live with it. ;)

I think it whuld be usefull to have shell integrated option to quickly add files to default (designated by user) virtual folder. Drag and dropping is little hard with meny windows open.

heh did not know about copy paste capabilities but its much worse than drag and drop aproach so its not solving enything.

I meant command from right click menu that puts file to HFS and user ends up with link to this file instantly, without need to bring HFS windows from taskbar

It would be nice if there was a "check-mark" or something beside our selected choices in menu -> shell context menu.  Thanks.

I played with it for a while and it seems not working very good. Sometimes it opens new session of hfs with blank tree, and it drops file on root.

Confirmed. It does not drop the file inside the highlighted folder. The root should be the destination only when there is no folder selected or that the root itself is selected.
Also - I suggest to change the shell text from  "HFS" to: "Add to HFS"
