beta28 @ www.rejetto.com/temp/hfs2.0beta28.zip

what's new
+ "don't count as download" available for single files
+ minor improvements to options dialog
+ command line: -q (quit, useful with "only 1 instance")
* by default config is now saved in user registry

Does that mean that HFS will leave traces in the registry?   :(

A good question. I'm confused now... I thought we can select either to auto- save to file OR to registry on exit. Now I can't find how...  :?:

HFS now saves the configuration to the registery, not the VFS.
You can erase the data from the registery by selecting the option Clear options and quit under Menu -> Save options.
You can auto-save the VFS on exit by selecting the option Auto-save VFS on exit under Menu -> Start/Exit.

Let me put the question more precisely:
Do I have to clean the registry to remove any traces of HFS?

If you are using the shell context menu, remove it, and then clean the registery.
Because cleaning the registery won't remove the shell context menu.

Thx for clarification.
In some cases I'm not allowed (by policy) to change the registry ... as long HFS gives me the freedom to operate and to chose myself whether or not to make entries in the registry then it's ok for me.

yes, sure
the only thing that changed is the DEFAULT way, you can still choose yourself

But, I don't see how  I have control on the destination when auto-saving 8O

Edit:
Or they are not auto-saved at all ?

the autosave will just use the location where it has been saved last time
it has always been this way ;)
