HFS used to support network drives, correct?

I'm not sure what version it was but it used to work.

Start/Exit -
- Reload on startup VFS file Previously open
- Save option to file.

ok for these, but i still do not agree with the autosave

Ok! 2 out of three sounds good. Thank you!

I wanted to ask if you can make the following options default when you first run the hfs.exe for the first time as a new user. The reason being that it would make things easier for the first time user.

Start/Exit -
- Reload on startup VFS file Previously open

- Auto-save Vfs on exit.
Maybe make it Auto save the first file to "Vfs1.vfs", that way the new user will not have to worry about saving or stuff like that the first time they use this program. Saving that file should be saved to the default directory that Vfs.exe is located.

- Save option to file.
This will prevent a newbi from trying to write to the registry if your running hfs.exe from another machine. That way if a person uses the program in their home, then they can use the write to registry option. Basically for the not so new user.

This would make the experience using hfs simpler and more enjoyable. This is from the point of view of a new user. Im just thinking of the others that might try this prgram for the first time. Hope you take these into consideration when you have time.
Nice ideas! I especially like the Save to file idea on default. This keeps the computer registry "clean" by default, and deleting the whole HFS folder deletes the whole program. Which is what most people want.

anybody noticed a bug that when going 4 or more directories deep that you can't use the Up link anymore - results in a 404? using the browser back button to go to level 3 or up and then use the UP link it works fine
btw, using IE6 and real folders with user access enabled on them if it matters

is there any option for the vfs to re-read it's physical data - I mean if I add some stuff to the folders and the VFS does not show them - how do I refresh them?

lastly :) any news on when version 2 with upload is planned?

I love HFS and really appreciate the work done

When loading a new drive letter into HFS and going to the root of HFS, the drive letters are not showing up. If you enter them into the address, the content shows up

Any reason why a new drive letter isn't showing up in HFS.

I add 3 new drive letters, 2 being local drives and 1 being a network mapped drive.  One odf teh local drives (C:) is shoing up but the other 2 are not.  I i type in teh address of the drives in the address bar, i get the content.

Good idea! may be add support for F5 (refresh) and may be an extra option to auto-do this every XXX seconds ?

Hi, Rejetto!
Please, add option:
In VFS - (right click on folder/place) - Access for users - All
For add access for all active users by one click...
Thank you!  :)

real folders aim to that.
or are you asking for a re-load of virtual folders?

Yeah I know, however sometimes you'd want the VFS functionality and I did not find a way to refresh the data (file list, folder list, sizes etc) in the vfs except by deleting and re-adding it
real folders work fine but some right click option to re-read the VFS would be great

keep up the good work rejetto

If I remember correctly, rejetto, you identified real  folders by the "purple" color and virtual - yellow (which I thing should be visa-versa...  ;)  )
1. I suggest to do the same for the symbol of a whole drive.
2. Can you double check - if they are not created wrong ? all subfolders are not created if "real" is selected, is it right ?

1 minor bug: I can't see in the IE the connected network drives though they are connected as real folders and are visible in VFS..  :(
You will correct?  ;)
