streaming mkv files

so im using thunderchicken_of_glory-4.0.3 and vlc firefox plugin, when vlc player pop-up nothing happens, file just doesnt load, is there any solution for this?
ohh and if vlc works on others templates i can use them
and btw it works via normal vlc  (media > open network stream) just fine but id like to play it in browser
