Too slow without download manager

I always use HFS to share file with my friends
If they use download manager to download files from my hfs server, they can download at 4~6MB/s
However some of my friends never use a download manager, and that would be much slower which is 300~500KB/s
Any solution?
I can say that that are nothing wrong with my network bandwidth

Some people cant download that fast. I am on 10 mb net and fastest i hit is like 2 mbs a sec.

I have the same problem.

@home i have a 50mbit down/up fiber line and at the office i have 100mbit down/up.

When i download a file from my home server at the office the maximum speed is 500kbyte/s
When i open a second download that one also goes to around 500kbyte/s

The upload should not be a problemem. Even when i open a third one it goes to 500kbyte/s but i can't seem to go above this speed per streem.

I made sure the speed limit setting is disabled


Anyone got any ideas?
