hey guys.
I'd like to know if it's possible to add a Video/mp3 player and image viewer within HFS. So ppl don't have to download every files. I'm quite sure it is possible as I just read
"Video Support in HFS using VLC ready". I'm trying to follow what your guys are saying but I get confused in the three first posts!! lol

I'm not really friendly with HTML language (to avoid saying "totally ignorant"). I'm currently using Live2 template. I (finally) succeed to add a "Folder Archive" link in it. But still, It took me around an hour or 2 to make it loll. Now you see how good I am with this language. I learn programming in C++, Delphi language few yrs ago. I did few HTML in high school (which is like 10 yrs ago).

I wouldn't mind using another template (less eye-candy) if it's what it takes to use that VLC player. But I saw some in the VLC thread that looks pretty cool.

Basically, I'd need to know step by step what to do to make it possible. Which version of HFS (I think I saw 2.3 Build #242) and VLC do I need.
Also, does VLC work as an Image viewer too?

Thanks.

you should point to any template providing such features.
live2 is quite old and unsupported.

Well I tried to install HFS 2.3 (since it is required for RAWR template)

It doesn't work in Firefox anymore. It still works in IE though. When I try to hit "Open in Browser" it keeps loading for few minutes. Then it writes "done" but nothing has shown up.
I tried to update Firefox to 3.5, no results.

I change the template to the default one. Same issue. I put back the HFS 2.2 and it works. Any clue why?

//edited, on IE it works for few minutes then it stops working. It shows an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error
after few minutes, I'm able to re-login and it works for few minutes again.

hello draakans

Seeing the 'strange problems' you posted in this forum and their solution 'by unknown forces', i'm inclined to think that the origin of your problems is a problem of your system. Maybe your windows is damaged, or you are running an unclean task that eats the system's resources, or your computer is infected by some troyan(s) or virus.

HFS 2.3 betas are running fine with with any actual version of firefox, and if your using the standard template and it does not work, search for the problem outside hfs.  :)
your computer has no brain - use your own !

yah, but it was working with 2.2... Whats the difference between 2.2 and 2.3. Some kind of plug-ins or w/e might be required.
