If in the VFS pane, I click the mouse after any entries, then press F2 (rename), I get an access violation box.  HFS keeps running, though.

You should at least tell us the OS you're using with HFS. Is it 9x or NT kernel. It can make a great difference.

Its obviously Windows XP when you look at the screenshot.

But, i'm using Windows 2k on this machine and also have the error  ;)

//Edit: shouldn't it be moved to bug-report :)?

Tried it here again.  No error of any kind.  Rename works as it should.  Build 088 and 089 on WinXP Pro SP2.

No. Click into the void. (No item selected). Press F2. Done.

Well if you want to rename something you have to first select what you want to rename.

Anyway, I did as you suggested and I still can't reproduce the error.  ???
