Separate "Browsable" attribute for uploaders

Is it possible to make some folder to be not browsable for regular downloaders, but TO BE BROWSABLE for uploaders, who know the password? I came to a soultion where I make 2 "real" folders with different names, but they point to the same physical folder. Then I give one folder the browsable attribute and also make it accessible only to uploaders, while leaving the other folder's browsable attribute checked off. This works fine, but this forces my uploaders to manually edit the links before they give them to regular users for download. They often forget to do so and this causes a big mess 

So is it possible to introduce a new browsable attribute that could apply only for users who are allowed to upload?

When you make 2 folders, one download, with acces for up and downloaders, and a upload folder only accesable for the uploaders to browse and upload(with password) then you have what you seek, if the downloaders may not see the upload folder, hide the folder, the uploaders have to browse then http://yourhfs/upload/

I think I should explain my issue a bit more 

ok, here want I want:

a folder, say "Video" with url like http://hfs/Video;
downloaders (who don't have a password) to download files from this folder freely, but restrict them from browsing this folder;
uploaders, who could be able (after giving the proper password) to upload and also browse this folder.

if I set 2 different folders to accomplish this, say "Video" for downloaders and "Video_up" for uploaders, the problem is when an uploader finishes uploading a file, it returns to "Video_up" folder to see its listing (she isn't able to browse "Video" folder, because it is is not browsable). There she tries to pick a link to just uploaded file for publishing to regular users, and that link looks like http://hfs/Video_up/file.

No need to say that such a link will not be available to regular users, because they have an access only to http://hfs/Video folder.

i see two solutions:

1) instead of Video_up, name it "videoREMOVE_ME" so it will be easier for your uploaders to remember, they paste and see it

2) you may give upload rights, but not browse rights to uploaders. indeed, when the upload is finished, they get the links anyway
