Hi,

I really like HFS. It's great.
One feuture request though: Upload! That way it would be really ease to share files among friends. Even better if it would support webdav. Then it would be really easy to upload for novice users.

Thanx

If you look in threads in this forum, you will see that the upload feature will be supported in version 2.0 which is going to be released in Late Nov. I hope! :)
WebDAV is surely nice, but I am not sure if it will appear in v2.

It does allow users to manage their upload so it would be very useful!
And is it not related to file sharing? hmmm.... :?

I really like the features of HFS over some of the other file share programs.  However another program has the upload feature and therefore I am using that right now.  When in Nov will v2.0 be out so I can switch? :?:

The explanation of Webdav is quite extensive, but doesn't really give why it is a very nice feature. In Internet Explorer one can open an url as a web folder. (chek file --> open & check open as web folder, you can make a shortcut). That way a directory on a remote server opens in a native folder view. This is easy, because people can drag & drop files in this folder.

I know this is only a part of webdav, but would be really great to have in HFS!  : :)

Oh, before i forget. there are multiple clients. It works standard with internet explorer on win98 and up and also on a macintosh (goliath).  If a browser is unable to open a folder as a webfolder, it will show the folder as a standard file list.

See for mor info: http://www.webdav.org  or http://www.caucho.com/resin/ref/webdav.xtp
