On/Offline Backup

Is there a way to use HFS as a On/Offline Backup? Like keep the files stored on the browser page in case my files get deleted, where I can always restore them?

hfs doesn't "store" your files
the browser page doesn't "store" your files
they are just like gateways to an hard disk (that you possibly own)
so you can use HFS to reach a remote hard disk, both for putting and getting files.

that video actually shows the service offered by that guy.
The service is powered by HFS, but HFS itself is not the service.

I did happen to find a way to use it to backup my files.

1) I read http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.php?title=HFS:_Secure_your_server and did everything it said to do.

2) Then I added 2 other folders to the File System folder "Backup" & "Webpage Backup"

3) Then I read http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.php?title=Use_HFS_to_host_a_website and did everything it said.

4) Then I binded the Little House with the Webpage Backup folder.

5) I then open the house proprieties and went to the upload flap & clicked on anyone & applied.

6) I used "My  Lockbox" program to lock the Webpage Backup folder away.

7) Now I can use the webpage to backup & restore my files.
   
Downside: I end up using my hard drive gigabytes when ever I upload files.
               I wish there was a way to not use gigabytes whenever I upload files.

quick answer: no, sorry.

longer answer: hardcore users can script an event on upload of zip files, to unzip them. It's not the same but it can be good enough sometimes. If you feel hardcore, you can try diggin' into the scripting commands. You'll find them in the documentation.

I'll use my own. But I'm not going to backup my entire PC, just the important files.
