show "now on line users" on first screen

Hi there.
I was wondering if there is a way, to inform someone who try to download a file from HFS that at the moment, that at the moment, there are some other users too who download.
It would be great if the users can see what on the first screen of HFS.

And actually, it would be great to inform about the exact number of the users who download this moment.
Is there any code that I can add to my template?

at the moment, for privacy reasons, there's no way for a user to see what other users are doing.
if more people are interested this may become an option.

I'll think that could be great, we use hfs on my school and if we get something like that it would be great!
