language specific boards

i just opened some new boards, as you can see, for the most common languages of the forum.
i also elected some moderators without asking permission.

nothing is due from you, of course. i just thought it was a good idea because i see you are very active on the forum, and i trust you. let me know what you think.

tu peux eventuellement mettre notre ami bacter en moderateur sur la partie allemande, et ajouter un board pour tous les topics chinois, ils sont assez actifs sur le forum pour qu'ils aient leur zone personnelle

if bacter would like to get the german board, i would be glad. indeed i saw him often replying to german posts. but it's up to him.
i did not create a board for spanish, because i didn't find many topics (4-5).

i created the chinese board.

You can thank me for bringing up to topic. I was telling rejetto about how we found traces of our work on many international boards. Hopefully they will feel more comfortable posting here directly now. We haven't hooked it up yet, but in the future the navigation and core features of our new website will be enabled for a language switcher, obviously not until the site is completed with a fully functional back end and forum. We can add English and Nederlands ourselves, but we might need some other moderators to help do the other languages and moderate those languages. We'll wait and see...

I accept to moderate a german board and try to help in any language I understand.

Respect to a spanish board, I think there is until now few activity in spanish as spanish speaking people has the same 'problem' as english and american people: They traditionally do not need to learn foreign languages as their language is very extended and then they dont access forums that are not in their language. You could see from download- and update stats if there are significant numbers of users in spain and southamerica. If there are enough beta-users in spanish speaking areas, i think you should open also a spanish board.

I can moderate a Spanish and Portuguese board (IBERIAN LANGUAGES), i know that i don't write more posts on this forum but review everyday.
Tell me if you need help in Spanish or Portuguese.

thank you for offering turrenell, but since such board has very very low traffic at the moment, bacter is more than enough.
