How to make the picture icon looks like its original picture?

hi,

what do i have to do to make the picture icon display its picture without even sending the picture file into the template folder? for example, when i add a picture from desktop into my HFS, other people that comes into my server will see the original picture on the icon. by the way, i'm using Terayon v1.3.2.

i don't know what terayon can do for you, but you have 3 ways
1. create thumbnails. it means that for every picture file you'll have another picture file, but smaller.
2. use the "big" pictures, sized down only graphically. this means people will actually download the big ones, this may overload your server.
3. use a trick to get in Windows the icons of pictures to be a thumbnails of the picture itself.

1. I saw a program here on the forum, but don't know where exactly. I'll look for ya Found it, LINK
2. If you use your server on your LAN network, it's not a big problem.
3. If you mean the Thumbs.db trick it's a no-go.

I would say 1 would be the way to go. But i think it'll need a change in the template-code.
