Hello,

I have used portforward and self test is working. Some of my friends can access the site and see my files, other's can't. Therefore I assume it's something on their end, is this a correct assumption? How do I get things to work on their end? Is it possible that if they are at work they can't access the site b/c their network admins have certain ports blocked or something along those lines? Thanks.

If your HFS runs on port 80 then it's impossible they can block it, or they would block every server in the Internet and Intranet, they all run on port 80.

But they could be using a proxy.

Some can't access from home either. BUt some can't. Everyting on my end is set up correctly. I can't find anything that talks about this issue in the help guides. For those that can't from home, what do they need to do to set stuff up on their end?

provide more information on the problem.
do you see them on the HFS side, attempting the connection?

No, they can't get to the authentication  to enter the password. When they click on the link that was provided to them they get the "page can't be displayed" message on their end even thoug they have access to other net sites. However, other people click on the link and it takes them right to the authentication page, they enter the password I provided to them and they get right in with no problems.

maybe the problem is that WHEN you have a router, people inside the router needs an address, and people outside needs a different one.

I'm having the same problem.  This person wanted to look at my homepage today and couldn't. They are using a wireless router, and I'm using just a cable modem no router.  I think it could be people with the routers that are unable to access our homepages.

no.
it doesn't matter if THEY have a router, but if YOU do.
use the self test. if it says "ok" then give them the address you see in the bar just after the test.
