Hi,
May I know which IP address do I give to other people on the Internet who want to connect to my server?
The one obtained from whatsmyip.org or the one that HFS detects using the "Find external address" function?
I have been trying the Self Test for all the addresses that HFS detects, but it always say that there is an error. However, I can access the server using Firefox with the 192.168 ... address.

Thanks.

they should just match! if different, try both.

you have to configure your router. follow this guide www.portforward.com

My router Alcatel speedtouch Home Plus 511e is not present in the PortFoward.com list. But I run BitTorrent clients on my computer, and they can get pass through both my router and software firewall with no problems.

I tried both addresses using Firefox, but I can access the server only using the 192.168 ... address. The one that I obtained from whatsmyip.org cannot access the server.

i guess that 510 may be similar, and you may find it useful to read http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Thomson-Alcatel/Speedtouch510v6/Http_File_Server-HFS.htm

nonetheless you still need port forward if you want to see your HFS working, sorry.

even when all will be ok (forwarded), you won't be able to use your external address to browse yourself.
use http://localhost/ for such purpose.
