HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Active Directory Integration
« on: March 21, 2011, 04:33:54 AM »
In fairness it may be difficult to write the code and not be able to test through the development cycle.  However, it looks like there is not a shortage of people who would like to see the AD integration...

Rejetto: we would also be prepared to do some testing further down the development.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Active Directory Integration

Hi all,

Apologies if this is a question that has already been asked or functionality that is on the wishlist!  I have carried out a search and not found a great deal regarding the subject.

We would like for the HFS software to integrate with Active Directory.  The problem is we have a single login and password used by a number of people.  Occasionally we need to change the password which results in us having to email all of the people with the new password.  If the software used Active Directory we would be able to disable an account and not have to worry about them being able to access HFS.

Rejetto, this is something we would consider a reasonable donation if bespoke programming was required.

Bug reports / Re: inconsistent behaviour during uploads

Thank you for looking into this problem.

We need the ability to upload files as well as downloading.  Does 270A or 271 support uploading?  I had been told not, possibly incorrectly...

Bug reports / inconsistent behaviour during uploads
« on: December 19, 2010, 12:35:08 PM »
Hi, we are running HFS 2.3 beta - Build #272 on our US server.

I have had various users reporting issues when uploading files.  The errors have occured on different folders and for files varying in size.

following testing with a 350 kb file I have had some very interesting results..

Firstly the upload failed with an error. (shown in the attachment) Almost immediately after the failure I tried again which suceeded.  I am unable to determine why the upload seemingly at random fails or uploads correctly.

More annoyingly the error appears after whole upload process appears to be complete.

Is anybody else experiencing this problem?
