check on address bar if port no is included after IP or not...if not then double click on HOME picture which you will find under "Vertual File System" and make sure port number must come up after IP, after that ask your friend type the address including port no... I am 100% sure he will see your page after

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / ver 1.6 & IP with Port No Problem

I am using XP Pro with SP1, NO ROUTER, NO FIREWALL, direct connection to Cable, check xp firewall is off... everything I checked...problem originally was that my friend was not able to check my page even if he write port number after my IP ... did research and found that there is no port no after IP in the hfs address bar, I double click on HOME sign-picture which is under VERTUAL FILE SYSTEM which is right under BANDWIDTH GRAPH, after that my port no come up in the address bar, after that my friend was able to look my webpage - he has to include port no after IP on webpage's address bar though,  ....problem looks solved BUT NO from here my question starts....I have also hfs ver 1.5 rc5  ...if I use it .... port no automatically come up when it opens.....no need to double click on HOME sign-picture, but in ver 1.6 port no is not coming up automatically .... what should I do for that. I would use ver 1.5 if the option for weblink included on it....so can anyone help here please...I really appriciate it thanks... :idea:  :?:  :idea:
