connected to open wifi around neighborhood, still connects to my router not hfs site.. how do I point hfs server to dyndns name? port forwarded, opened firewall for port.. somethings not working...

ok so I watched this episode of system on setting up a "basic server" http://revision3.com/systm/dyndns/
I have dyndns set up, I have hfs installed, not quite set up yet, my question is when I type my dns name into address bar it points to my router not hfs server with files I added, what did I do wrong?
