Can you make directories in HFS? If so, how?

Interesting. It's not there. And i know i have correct rights assigned. I have my username specifically assigned upload rights, but it won't let me

EDIT: the way i had it set up, i had a direct folder link to it on my home page, and then a folder>folder>then that specific folder link. when i followed the direct link, it works fine, when i don't, it doesn't. interesting

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Direct login links?

Ok. New alternative then, when i attempt the method given above, my browser gives me an error message saying basically 'someone may be tricking you... do you want to log in with this name and password?' is that from HFS? Because if HFS sends that error, I would love to know how to change it.

The goal here is a work around for a logout system. They would click the logout button, which hyperlinks them to, say, http://logout:logout@httpserver.com and once they've done that, all permissions will be removed. so if i could change that error message, i could change it to something to the effect of "you've now logged out" or something

thanks

that doesn't work like I want it to. it takes you to the site, then asks something like "this site is trying to log you in as... could be a trick continue?" then I hit yes, then it goes to my site, but is not logged in until you hit the 'login' button, which is not what i want, i want it to automatically be logged in

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Direct login links?
« on: November 10, 2008, 01:39:39 AM »
Ok, so is there a way to create a direct login link? Like, i know the login is at "~login" is there any switch i could use to alter that in order to have someone redirected straight to their page? for instance, i know with the FTP protocol you could go something like "ftp://test:test@whatever.com"

could we do something similar to that?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / HFS 2.3 beta (212) issues
« on: November 07, 2008, 03:12:45 AM »
Ok, before I started testing the 2.3 beta, HFS would hide folders from everyone except those who had permissions to access them. Now, it shows them, but just denies access to them. That's not what I want. I want them to be hidden to everyone except those with access. How can I do that?

I understand that. Is there anyway to make it work on a webhost server though? Like, any way what so ever? I'd be willing to pay. I would need it to be able to use templates though.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / HFS on a webhost server
« on: November 03, 2008, 03:10:23 AM »
Ok, so I want to run HFS off of my webhost's server. But I'm confused about how I would be able to do that, as in get it actually running seeing as how most hosting services disallow .exe 's, let alone configure user access and such. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great!!!

Ok, so I want to actually host this through a host service. But their servers run linux etc. So how would I be able to run this on their servers?

Thanks
