it's don't consider AS download, not FOR download :)

Hahaha that explains all.

Thanx Rejetto I appreciate your support. The programs become more and more advanced, so the online manual does not always gives me the answer.
It's nice to hear that the setting only has to be done for the parentfolder. I assume this also applies to the setting don't consider as download.

However...I've noticed some unexpected behaviour in a couple of subfolders for my musicfiles (double cd).
All these folders contain the file folder.jpg; the cover of the cd.  Although I made the setting don't consider as download , for these folder.jpg  files, some of them are still available for download. In single folders (without a subfolder), the setting works fine and the folder.jpg file is not available. Is this normal?

Okay I made some corrections. But do I have to set the filemask for each folder, which contains an ini file (for example), or only in the parent folder?

Thanx al lot again. Ik knew I made a mistake somewhere.

Yesterday I tried to access a folder on my E-partition from a remote computer.
The specific folder contains an .ini file. I have created the following filemask string
for my E drive:

\index.htm*;\default.htm*;\folder.jpg;\*.ini;\*.db

Instead of showing the content of the folder, a dialog box appeared asking if I wanted to open or to save the .ini file.

What did I do wrong? Drive E is added within HFS as a real folder.
I'm using HFS 2.3 bèta build 195 icm with the RAWR Template version 0.1.1

Inverting the logic (\)
So you want to hide filetypes, instead of showing specific filetypes?
Insert a backslash \ before *.ext to achieve opposite logic with the filter, and hide the filetypes you do not want visible to users. E.g \*.db;*.ini

Aha... editing the template. That's the push in the direction I needed.

I did read you only suggested to consider it.  ;)
I will give it another try this week and see what works best for me.

Replacing folder icons is unfortunately a lot of work for me, because of all the subfolders (100-200). It would be a nice feature if icons of subfolders change automatically when the icon in the parentfolder above is changed. Please only reply if there is an easier way to replace them, than the way you described in your first post (selecting the folders one by one, using the CONTROL button)

If not, thanx again for your support.

Thanx for your quick reply. I didn't notice there was a difference in using the SHIFT or CONTROL button.
I'll figure it out. I guess there is no quicker way to replace folder icons than the way you mentioned?
(using a folder mask doesn't seem to work, it only works for files)

I would like to use real folders instead of virtual. But how can I see al the subfolders and files in HFS when using real folders?
The only thing I see is a red folder :(

And what about the loss of functions when I switch to real folders?

Using virtual folders has some nice functions, which I like. For example:
- I can easily see when a file had been downloaded (HFS shows a number)
- I can easily hide files and folders, I won't share
etc.

Are these functions also available when using real folders?
If so, I didn' t found out yet where to find them.

Helly everyone I'm new here. Hope you all like HFS as much as I do ;)

I'm using HFS since a couple of months and have experienced the following problem.
I've made an icon mask for my mp3 files. So from now on, mp3 files should be shown with a winamp icon.
But something stranges happens after the following action...

When I replace the default folder icon by a new folder icon for a complete foldertree in HFS (by selecting all folders and replacing it's icon), al mp3 files in these folders now become attached with the new folder icon instead of the winamp icon. It seems that the option icon mask doesn't work anymore :(

What am I doing wrong? Please look at the screenshots. I hope these pics wil help to understand my problem.

(I'm using HFS version 2.3 bèta build 195 and I'm using The RAWR Template latest version. )

(all mp3 tracks in the folder Frank-Hardrock-Overig are attached with a blue folder icon, instead of the winamp icon)
