Hi!

"i want to run both these instances simultaneously with each other every time i run windows.. "

Try with this:

For HFS Build #242:

DISABLE/DEACTIVE/UNCHECK/UNMARK "starts with windows"
DISABLE/DEACTIVE/UNCHECK/UNMARK "only 1 instance ..."
Go to hfs #242 folder, create a shortcut of hfs.exe #242 file.
Browser your "Start Menu", go to "Programs", "Start", move here your new hfs #242 shortcut.
Rename to HFS #242, for example.

For HFS Build #155:

DISABLE/DEACTIVE/UNCHECK/UNMARK "starts with windows"
DISABLE/DEACTIVE/UNCHECK/UNMARK "only 1 instance ..."
Go to hfs #155 folder, create a shortcut of hfs.exe #155 file.
Browser your "Start Menu", go to "Programs", "Start", move here your new hfs #155 shortcut.
Rename to HFS #155, for example.

Tell us the result!
Bye.

router & port problems / Re: port 80 changes to 7000 in HFS
« on: May 08, 2009, 04:03:43 AM »
I see that use "Avast Internet Security Suite".

You need access to port 80 in hfs.exe in "SERVER" mode.

Review config oh this an set access for hfs.exe to internet unrestricted.

Your firewall can block an specific port of your hfs or any activity of the program.

Tell us if you resolve it.

bye.

It's correct!

Your hfs works fine, use port 80 for any ip ( mask 0.0.0.0 ) , local ( lan ) and internet ( wan )

Can you stop the server, exit, and rename the hfs folder.
Download the last beta version and copy to a folder C:\hfstest ( for example )
Create some users  01 02 03 with pass 01 02 03 ( an other example ;) )
Try load and download with users, delete, etc.

Tell us thah happen with the test.

bye.

Search if other program use port 80.
hfs change the default port if it is open.

Applications like "SKIPE", or "Intenet Information Server", "APACHE", use port 80, only one programa at once.

Run this command line y "star menu", "RUN":

cmd /c netstat -anovbp tcp > %temp%\netstat.txt & start notepad %temp%\netstat.txt

This, open a "dos box", dump result of the netstat command to a file netstat.txt in Windows
temp folder and open it in notepad.

Search something like this:  (it's an example)

 TCP    0.0.0.0:445            0.0.0.0:0              LISTENING       4
 [System]
 TCP    0.0.0.0:80            0.0.0.0:0              LISTENING       4534
 [skype.exe]

well, the second line show a program that use port 80 with PID 4534 and his name.

Try to change the port 80 in the program and tell us if the hfs works in port 80.

Bye.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / language specific boards
« on: May 03, 2009, 07:27:36 AM »

Hi rejetto

I accept to moderate a german board and try to help in any language I understand.

Respect to a spanish board, I think there is until now few activity in spanish as spanish speaking people has the same 'problem' as english and american people: They traditionally do not need to learn foreign languages as their language is very extended and then they dont access forums that are not in their language. You could see from download- and update stats if there are significant numbers of users in spain and southamerica. If there are enough beta-users in spanish speaking areas, i think you should open also a spanish board.

Hi all.

I can moderate a Spanish and Portuguese board (IBERIAN LANGUAGES), i know that i don't write more posts on this forum but review everyday.
Tell me if you need help in Spanish or Portuguese.

1 - In the tree of the virtual system of files, with "double click" on the name, we can " rename " the object, and... If we do "double click" in the icon of that same object and obtain its properties? He is not complicated to codify and still faster.

some people uses the double click to expand/collapse folders. opening the properties dialog is an action that would piss of these guys.
at the moment it is copying the url of the file, that doesn't make any problem to them.
in next build i will add ALT+click to open the properties. ok?
shift and ctrl where already taken for multi-selection... ;)

2 - A time we have the window of properties, we can keep its position as it happens in the window of " Set user/pass… ". Furthermore, can also keep the dimensions from the propierties dialog if this changes when "click" in OK.

is enough if it opens at the center instead of the side?

1 - ...  Yes, perfect
2 - Yes, like "Set user/Pass... " window dialog, that it save window position

It's correct?

Build 211
So far I see no problems here.
HFS just gets more awesome with each build.
Thank you Rejetto !

I can already do this ??

Yes, do. But not "double click" exactly, retarded "double click" like in Windows. Try it!.

Yeah! In Windows, but think the delphi component can be diferent of windows. Most of the dialogs and tree forms was writen by people than not implement this mouse hotkeys.

Furthermore, If you do "double click" on icon of a object in tree, hfs copy the object path in the clipboard.

download @ www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs211.exe

what's new
+ File Menu -> "Properties..."
+ Log menu -> "Max lines on screen..."
* the "anyone" in file permissions is no more: you can get it by enabling both "any account" and "anonymous"
- renaming accounts was not updating upload permissions
- account redirection to ~upload was not working

Hello to all.

I would like to suggest a pair of things:

1 - In the tree of the virtual system of files, with "double click" on the name, we can " rename " the object, and... If we do "double click" in the icon of that same object and obtain its properties? He is not complicated to codify and still faster.

2 - A time we have the window of properties, we can keep its position as it happens in the window of " Set user/pass… ". Furthermore, can also keep the dimensions from the propierties dialog if this changes when "click" in OK.

I want to write the code source but use Lazarus and I have not had time here to analyze the source.

( Sorry for englisg translator )   ::)

My previous code is wrong, the right way is to replace

[file]
{.$item start.}<td align=right>%item-size%<td align=right>%item-modified%<td align=right>%item-dl-count%

with

[item startf]
  <tr><td>
  {.if|{.get|is new.}|<span class=flag>&nbsp;NEW&nbsp;</span>.}
  {.if not|{.get|can access.}|<img src='/~img_lock'>.}
  <a href="ftp://%host%%encoded-folder%%item-name%"><img src="%item-icon%" /> %item-name%</a>
  {.if| {.?search.} |{:<div class=item-folder>{.!item folder.} <a href="%item-folder%">%item-folder%</div>:} .}
  {.if| %item-comment% | <div class=comment>%item-comment%</div> .}

[file]
{.$item startf.}<td align=right>%item-size%<td align=right>%item-modified%<td align=right>%item-dl-count%

this works fine in pair with Filezilla server, though users must login to ftp server when downloading files.

user:password works, but only for login=user and pass=password. Http login and password are not transfered with this string.

Ok. But, if you use my funtion, the ftp server don't answer the user name or pass.
The strings is reevaluated from the HFS LOGON captured to new variables.
I try write a real code example for to show you.
This solution will make transparent login in ftp server.

See you, bye.

Yes! It works! In standard template I've changed

[item start]
  <tr><td>
  {.if|{.get|is new.}|<span class=flag>&nbsp;NEW&nbsp;</span>.}
  {.if not|{.get|can access.}|<img src='/~img_lock'>.}
  <a href="%item-url%"><img src="%item-icon%" /> %item-name%</a>
  {.if| {.?search.} |{:<div class=item-folder>{.!item folder.} <a href="%item-folder%">%item-folder%</div>:} .}
  {.if| %item-comment% | <div class=comment>%item-comment%</div> .}

to

[item start]
  <tr><td>
  {.if|{.get|is new.}|<span class=flag>&nbsp;NEW&nbsp;</span>.}
  {.if not|{.get|can access.}|<img src='/~img_lock'>.}
  <a href="ftp://%host%%encoded-folder%%item-name%"><img src="%item-icon%" /> %item-name%</a>
  {.if| {.?search.} |{:<div class=item-folder>{.!item folder.} <a href="%item-folder%">%item-folder%</div>:} .}
  {.if| %item-comment% | <div class=comment>%item-comment%</div> .}

Thanks a lot again

Hi! You can use a bit trick in this funtion, I use "ftp://user:password@ftp.host.xxx:port".

For example:

  {.if not|{.get|can access.}|<img src='/~img_lock'>.}
  <a href="ftp://user:password@%host%:PORT%encoded-folder%%item-name%"><img src="%item-icon%" /> %item-name%</a>

If you replace with VARS that you can create:

%FTPUSER% for user if not the same in ftp server account.
%FTPPASS% for pass if not the same in ftp server account.
%FTPPORT% for port if isn's default ftp server port " TCP 21".
In this point you must separete port "xxxx:21/%encoded-folder%", if "%encoded-folder%" don't introduce in URL.

Try it and tell us, please.

Regards.

Una variable para el usuario, otra para la contraseña y otra para el puerto, si este es distinto del puerto por defecto. " TCP 21 ".
