Ok - I changed it to 755 and now I get this....  I think this is what is supposed to happen.

you can't call this script yourself, just report the URL to rejetto

Hope it works now - this should be a fast mirror   ;D

router & port problems / Wierd problem with a Linksys WRT54G
« on: February 08, 2008, 04:37:47 AM »
I've got a friend of mine with a problem....

I have HFS working fine with Stunnel on my system... with a DGL-4300 router...  no issues.

I configured his the same way... except he has a Linksys WRT54G router...  Similar setup, different looking web interface...

He uses remote management on his router to control several IP cams and this seems to be causing a problem.  If we turn off remote management in his router and type in https://xxx.xxx.xxx:443 which is how HFS/Stunnel is configured HFS works fine.  The minute we enable remote management... if we type in https://xxx.xxx.xxx:443 the login screen for the router comes up....?   Wierd thing is the port for remote management is set to 220.

Any ideas?

synchfs has is 644 and the hfs folder is 777.  Is that correct?

You can also use http://hfs.260servers.net/ now (if we can get it to work)  Try again - I think I fixed it.

In the FAQ there is this:

- How do I protect my files on the HFS server? Are they safe from Internet hackers?
You can set a username and password for a file by right-clicking the file and selecting "Set user/pass". This will not, however, protect your files from prying eyes when they are downloaded by an authorized user since HFS does not encrypt the data that is being sent. For more information, see Secure your server.

is the best way to 'Secure your server' to enable accounts and only allow those accounts access.. no anonymous users?  Or is there an even better way or some additional steps to take?

NVM - found the info here:

Thx   :o
