HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Encryption option?
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:28:07 AM »
Oh nevermind about encryption - I found the answer when I did a search for it on the forum.

But can a server theoretically throttle the traffic nonetheless?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Encryption option?
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:25:38 AM »
Hi Rejetto, any plans to introduce encryption into HFS, like what utorrent has? My uploads (to friends) gets slowed down dramatically after a while and I suspect that my school server has throttled the connections. Is that possible, given that the port used by HFS is the html port?

Hi, these are the ip detection sites that work:

http://www.whatismyip.org/
http://www.melauto.it/public/rejetto/ip.php

mywanip detects two ips, although the first one listed is the correct one. Does that count? :)

Great work on the software I use it all the time ;)

Bug reports / 2.1d #86 External IP Detection Problem

The external IP detection isn't perfect. My ISP automatically channels all activities through its proxy server, and sometimes HFS detects the IP of the proxy server, instead of the proper one which sites such as showmyip can detect perfectly.

Any possibility that IP detection can be improved? Else, using the embedded dynamic dns functions is kinda pointless if it points elsewhere..

Bug reports / Re: 2.1d #86 Access Violation

I think my error has got something to do with Norton's Internet Worm Protection. After deleting and re-adding HFS to the list of excepted programs, it's okay now. Norton's IWP can be quite a problematic program :/

Hi there, can you please help with my access violation problem? I don't have to do anything and it will pop up just by itself. I'm exasperated. :)

Access violation at address 0044F368 in module 'HTTP File Server.exe'. Read of address 03020000.
