HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Keep losing users / password changes
« on: May 29, 2007, 06:51:22 PM »
For some reason, every once in a while if my server machine gets shut down HFS loses recently added users or recently added password changes.

If I add a user or change a password should I then be saving something or doing something additional to make sure that the next time HFS starts up it remembers the changes ?.

Thanks

Nevermind. I found Menu / Start Exit/ Reload on Startup VFS file previously open

While I'm using real folders (not Virtual one's) this seems to load the folder structure on a restart.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Doesnt want to save settings
« on: March 13, 2007, 12:07:02 AM »
For some reason, everytime I shut down HFS and restart it I have to reload the file and user settings.  I have tried everything I can think of including the "save settings on exit" but it still loses all the folder settings and user permissions.  I can reload it manually (from a saved file) but my concern is that if the machine shuts down while I am away, it should power back up but it will not have access ......

Any ideas ?

In the log window, is there a way to log the date and time vs just the time a file / folder was accessed ?.

Thanks

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Is this PowerNet Web File Sharing ?
« on: November 07, 2006, 03:03:11 PM »
Just a curious question, I registered that program a while back and support for it completely disapeared.  Now I found this program and it looks like an exact replica of the old program I registered.  Just wondering if you are the same person.

Thanks

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Remove Anynomus Account ? Possible ?
« on: November 07, 2006, 11:03:07 AM »
I want to get rid of the anynomus account completely so that nly user/pass can access the server.  I know I can protect the root but I would like to completely remove that account so it does not get accidentally enabled.

Is this possible ?, I searched the forum and FAQ's but can't find anything that allows me to remove it.

Thanks
