router & port problems / Re: Another one needing help

Flanker. The 192.168. numbers are your internal IP numbers. Any machine in your network also behind your router/firewall would use those numbers to find you. If you're trying to open up to people outside of that (on the internet), then you need to find your external (WAN) IP number. That is the one given to you by your service provider. Open HFS, click on "Menu", scroll down to "IP Address" and then slide over to and click on "Find external address". Check you address bar at the top of the screen now and it should have your external address in it.

Bug reports / Invalid Pointer Operation
« on: October 19, 2006, 01:06:22 AM »
Hi rejetto. I just downloaded HFS 2.1 and copied the EXE file to the HFS directory. I started HFS and everything seemed to work just fine. So far so good.

I choose "Exit" and a window pops that says Invalid Pointer Operation.
I click OK but HFS stays open.
I minimize HFS and find another window underneath that says...

Access violation at address 004CBD6F in module 'hfs.exe'. Read of address 0000005C.

I click OK but HFS is still open.
I right click on the HFS task bar button and choose Close. I then get.....

hfs.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Error signature is..
AppName: hfs.exe    AppVer: 0.0.0.0    ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180    Offset: 0001eb33

HFS then closes.
If I remove the hfs.ini file from the HFS folder eveything works fine
but my settings and accounts are gone. I'll message you with a copy of this message and also the contents of my hfs.ini file.

Thanks.

Beta 17 doesn't seem to be using the Diff Templates correctly. I had a Diff Template set up for a picture folder to show thumbnails in Beta 15 with no problems. Now I just get a JPEG file listing with no thumbnails. I even tried inserting improper code to see if HFS would show a error while trying to list the JPEGs and thumbs but I still just get the JPEG file list as if the Diff template doesn't exist.
