HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: problem on windows7
« on: December 09, 2009, 09:18:34 PM »
If you add some exe file to HFS, u'll get a message like the exe wants to run, but just clic on run and the exe will not install,
and u'll see it in the HFS interface.
is it your problem ?

no it seems it's to launch HFS so launch it and add it to the shell.
i use HFS on windows 7 64bit and it works fine.

2
ok the problem is resolved, it's all cause of my modem-router
i asked to someone else to try to connect to my external port and it works, only me cannot acces to HFS using my external IP.

3
i can try any port i like to put in NAT i got always the same result : Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
let's say i try that in the browser with good port forwarding in TCP, with my local adress, for exemple :
http://192.168.1.14:65013/
so this works, i see the HFS server in the browser,
now i try with the external IP, for example : http://83.153.90.45:65013/
result is : Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
so my router is able to route in the local network but is not able to forward from the external adress to the local adress.
but the prob is when i try the HFS self test, HFS says all is fine.
so it may comes from my router that is crap as HFS works on 2 other routers i got.
or it's a problem with HFS on some kind of routers cause i can forward all other applications except HFS.
now i really don't know where is the problem.
someone can help ?
maybe HFS needs to be configured a different way on some ISP modem-routers ?
or it's a HFS bug ? or my router is crap ?

Same here - Thanks. Now its time for a donation.  :)

lol, this app deserves a donation for long, my one was too small, i'll fix that.
i wonder how many people use this app... do u have any idea rejetto ?

anyway, i changed my system for a 64-bit version of vista ultimate, this last beta works fine on it.

i know, thanks and i will rename the file to 206.

it's installed on xp pro sp3 & vista ultimate sp1.
same error on my both systems and i use exactly the same apps on both systems.
this bug certainly concern only my systems and the apps i use.
i think it's cause of superadblocker associate to IE7.
i will post attached txt file if i got a different error.
and i got the error not only on build 205 and 206 if u look at attached file posted before
i had this bug on build 180 to 206, i dont know before build 180.

if u look better on the top of the log, u'll see that it's build 206 sir. ok ?
the fact that the file is not named 206 doesnt mean it's not build 206.
thanks.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Tip: how to limit speed but not in your LAN
« on: October 09, 2008, 06:55:26 AM »
to DL files bigger than 2GB use opera on LAN, IE is locked to 2 GB.
with firefox u can dl any size u want too but on my machines the speed was half the full speed of the lan.
possible it's fixed in FF 3.0, didnt test, i use opera.
but for LAN opera has no limits. u'll dl at 100Mbits any size u want.
this browser is just great. and when u see browsers satistics, 1% of people use it...
they all use IE or FF.

I found when and why it crashes.
it crashes when i close IE7.
and i got superadblocker installed for IE7, this prog can be the prob.

i'm going to change my default browser by opera or Firefox to see.

i can't tell, it happens randomly, dont know when or why

but it's certainly comes from a security prog no ?
