Title: Connection issues
Post by: BobM on August 18, 2011, 03:30:48 PM
We have an FTP site that can only be accessed by one computer of 5 in our satellite office. Other users in our main office have no prblem accessing it either. What would stop certain computers from accessing it? If searched the community here and not really finding anything that fits this.

Thanks

welcome Bob!
they may be on different network.
try to run on command line  "tracert ADDRESS", where ADDRESS is the server.
see if there's any difference between working computers and non-working ones.

by "ftp site" do you mean HFS or a different software?

Thanks for the response.

I should have been more specific - by "ftp site" I do mean HFS. The person who does have access in the office is the person who typically had all the interaction the actual website hosting the data (which I believe is HFS).

Thanks again.
