Title: Self Test failure

HFS worked beautifully for years, however lately the Self Test fails, and friends are unable to connect. Windows XP Firewall has HFS as exception TCP port 50005, and D-Link Router has always had the same TCP port forwarded.  I'm baffled   :-[  any help would be appreciated.

1. does HFS work if hit F9 on a folder ? (on the same computer)
2. does HFS work with other computers on the same LAN ?
3. do you have other servers installed so that you can compare?
