Hi, did multiple search on forum and google but couldnt find a definite answer...
can someone please tell me how to run 2 instances of HFS on the same machine..

awaiting some help plez...tried modifying the location of the HFS yet its still not working..

Menu> Start/Exit > Uncheck Only one instance on both. ???
Each must have a different port.
Probably be easier if they were in different directories, and
forwarding 2 different ports is necessary if you use a router.

don't forget when you uncheck "Only one instance on both", you have to save options else this can't work when you lauch second instance of hfs ;)
with multi-instances actived, the drag and drop of files create a new intance of hfs every time ;D

true IF you are talking about dropping files over hfs.exe,
dropping over hfs window doesn't open a new instance.
it happens also if you use the "add to hfs" command.
HFS will automatically pick up a different port for other instances if you didn't set one manually at first.

With more than 1 instances auto update doesnt work too.

indeed on recent HFS versions you get this error message:
The auto-update feature cannot work because it requires the "Only 1 instance" option enabled
