Title: Asian Characters Support
Post by: Xeos on July 29, 2010, 07:18:13 AM
Hey Rejetto,

Thanks for coming out with this kick ass software. Donation to you for some beer is definitely well-deserved. I have some files and folders that are in Asian characters, which are undownloadable. Any ETA on this? and/or how can I help?

Im on Win7 64bit, native is English, so HFS UI is also in English. However some of my folder/file names have Chinese, Japanese, or Korean Asian characters. On HFS:Web those characters are changed to: ??

On HFS:Web those characters are changed to: ??

On your Web browser, try to change the encoding lettering displayed for the HFS Web page.

Most browsers have such options.

Try Utf8 and the Asian languages (?)

All people who connect to your pages see the same thing that you?

welcome xeos!
if your system is english, then asian characters are actually unicode on your file system, and HFS doesn't support this.
there's no ETA, as this requires a lot of work (and an expensive development tool). Don't wait for it!
