Hi all,
thanks for this nice program! I like it! :)
Just one question: I've downloaded the 1.5b1 and when i started the soft for the first time, I discovered that iach time i put the server on line, it chooses a random connexion port, very interesting feature. But, now, i dont know why, it doesn't work anymore! :( It always choose the port 80!
Please what is the trick to restore this feature?
thanks,

here is how HFS chooses the port
1. if a port is selected in the saved configuration and it is free, then it is used, else step 2
2. if the port 80 is free, then it is used, else step 3
3. a random free port is used
actually the only way to get a random port is to have no saved port in the configuratoin and to get the port 80 occupied.
if you just don't want the port 80 to be used, you could just set another port and save the config.
if you want an always changing port you could try to occupy port 80 with another software.
if this does not satisfy you, tell me about your situation and will think about it.

Hi rejetto and all,
many thanks for your fast and clear answer! I'm completely satisfied :) ok, i'll save a config with a non-standard port its not a prob, but i found it interesting to randomize the port number cause i have never seen this cool feature in another server. but i have to say that i'm really new in http servers world! ;)
I want to submit another prob but i think i'm not in the right thread. since i'm blind and using a scren reader, a shortcut would be nice to access the menu, or why not with the alt key like standard apps. finally, i would be glad to have a shortcut to switch the server on or off.
If its possible.
tnx again for the program, so tiny but so powerfull! I'm a ftp lover, think i'm going to change my mind now! ;)
regards,

thanks for your nice words. i'm happy to know that my software is used even though you are blind, because i never designed thinking about it.
but i found it interesting to randomize the port number cause i have never seen this cool feature in another server.
about the feature to skip port 80 before seeking for a free random port,
i will think about it if it will be useful other than cool :)
a shortcut would be nice to access the menu, or why not with the alt key like standard apps.
just done
finally, i would be glad to have a shortcut to switch the server on or off.
ok

hi again,
wow! you are quick in programming lol. I often made requests to developpers about accessibility but they never did it so quickly :)
For the random port feature, AFM its not so usefull lol, just cool in fact. I'm concerned by security but i can assign a high port to hsf.
Many thanks for your help.
I have another problem :) i'll post another thread.
keep on the good work!
