I have many users which use "my" hfs for 1-4 years each. How can I avoid to create and administer an account for any user manually?
- create user
- give a password
- add the user(s) to groups
- upload files to any user of a special group
- download files from any user of a special group
- delete forgotten passwords and give a new one
- delete user account
- delete old files of an (former) user
- delete old files by wildcard (i. e. *.exe)
- ...
Is there a solution for creating an user account by the user themselve?
Or is it possible to import a whole lists (txt, csv, Excel, ...) of users or delete users by batch or so?
Any help is welcome (I use the current release 2.3 beta 260).

there some scripts on the forum to let users create an account.
this is an experimental thing yet.
importing from csv would be possible if someone makes a script, i don't know of any existent one at the moment.

...but I still haven't found what I'm looking for...
Is there perhaps a link to an easy implementable peace of code, please? (Unfortunately, I'm no software developer.)

BTW: As I see, there seems to be a lot of interest in this topic...

Hi merlinuwe
Perhaps by starting from an "extended" template, with administration functions, you could make what you ask.
I posted this type of template today.
It will probably make other changes to suit the totality of your needs.
But you can look at what it is, it can perhaps be useful for you.

Otherwise, Mars had posted on the forum in French a Exel script that allows to create users accounts in number.

Maybe if Mars goes through here, he may help you more about this script.
As I see, there seems to be a lot of interest in this topic
This is not a lack of interest for this topic, I think ... that you ask is not really simple, and not done in a snap. ;)
