Title: Android browser issue??
Post by: apollostees on March 30, 2010, 04:11:13 PM
What's up everyone, I'm new to HFS and this is my first post.

I've got HFS running my server and everything is great. My only problem is accessing my server from my android phones. Android phones use a version of webkit for their stock browser.

For some reason I  can connect to my server, and even login but the screen stays the same after that. And so it never even gets to the files. Its as if it didn't take my password,  but it doesn't give me a bad password error. Just nothing.

Anyone seen this before? Know a solution?

sorry for the late reply.
i have no android phone to test, the best i can't rely on is Chrome.
i knew there was a problem with Chrome and login, some months ago, and i had no problem reproducing it (even if i can't recall exactly right now).
Fact is, i'm searching for past reports and find none, and try reproducing the problem  but with no success.
I guess it was fixed in the while on Chrome, but maybe not on the android browser.
What android version are you using?

Sorry for my late reply, and thanks for responding.

I'm using 2.1 on my nexus one.

Also, I realize this is probably a limit of my phone's browser and not HFS. Another post said Android doesn't allow for logins then downloads, or something like that. Sound familur?

Still what ever help and advice you give is appreciated.

watch your hfs log,
does the username appear when you enter it on your phone?
