you are behind a router
ensure it is configured to forward port 7000 to your computer

Sorry i need help, i know nothing about these port thing ><

the router is the toy you use to connect your computer to the internet.

i cant seem to do the steps i having error, i do the static ip first and my net could not even starts :(

i only had 1 DNS server ip but they wanted me to put alternative DNS how do i complete the static ip steps!

the "self test" said you have a router so

1. you have a router
OR
2. you don't have a router yourself, but you are behind a router owned by the company/organization providing you internet connection. They don't give you a public numerical address, and in this case, most of times, you are unable to use any server program, like HFS.

i cannot say.
it's up to you to discover in which of the two cases you are in.
i cannot imagine more cases, so i suppose you are in case1 or case2.
maybe someone else knows more and will contribute more cases.

ask your internet provider if you get a public IP address
