Title: Initial Login Page
Post by: Brandon on January 06, 2010, 04:28:04 PM
Would it be possible, or does anyone have some code that when going to the HFS address that it shows a GUI Login Page, before all the files or root directory.  Then once it logs in it will then show the files you have access to.

For example, most have probably used webmail or some other site that has an initial authentication page.

Is this a feasible possibility?  I'm not a web coder by any means.  I do know basic HTML though.

yes, and it's even easy: just protect access to the root.
people will be asked to login as first step.

can an index page be made with text areas for user, pass, and login button to login without the use of a popup to enter these areas? If so could someone please tell me how? Thank you  :)

right click on the home/root
you'll get properties to protect access, as for any other folder or file.
