Post by: knecht6212 on December 13, 2009, 11:36:11 PM
Hi,

the HFS Software is great and works fine.
I hope i can explain my problem , because my english is very bad. Sorry.

The Problem:
i use the HFS for upload Files. Works fine.
Now i have think i can intregrated ein chat. Okay, HFS is not supported  PHP.
Also I have installed an Xampp Apache Server. This works good.
Problem is HFS and Xampp running on the same Maschine it not possible to log on an my HFS Server because i have to log on on my HFS server with an authentifizierung (User and Passwort) look at the screenshoot
Ah, i'am using the chat skript form http://webdesign.weisshart.de/chat.php
and have the chat Folder copyed in the htdocs Folder from xampps.
Now is Xampps running the is in the HFS upload Folder then i see all Chat Files, but not the real chat with Userlogin.

Okay, also if xampps running the i have the screen (uploadifxampsrunning.jpg)
and if xampps not running then i have the screen (uploadifxamppsnotrunning.jpg)
I dont now why.
I hope anywhere can understand my 2 Problems.
Anyone have an solution for me?
Thanx

welcome!

1. some very basic chat scripts for HFS have been posted on the forum. you may consider them.

2. consider also relying on an external service for the chat. Maybe even a simple shoutbox could fit your needs. Google for: free shoutbox

3. having another web server on your same computer implies the standard port for connections (80) is already used.
In such case, hfs will find it occupied and will use another port (8080), and to browse it you wil have to use address http://yourserver.org:8080

4. we have a german forum board, if you like, but you won't find me there because i don't speak german :)
