Post by: peng on November 28, 2009, 10:32:04 PM
I found a suprise here about "HFS (HTTP File Server) Multiple Vulnerabilities" at below website.

I consider that HFS is not safe enough for http server hosting. Is it true?

This article addresses vulnerabilities found in older versions of HFS.

These "vulnerabilities" have been solved in current versions of HFS.

The updates are made also for eliminate these problems.

All servers can have at one time, vulnerabilities of this kind.

HFS is not less secure than other servers.

And then we can say that this genre of article makes live their site, compared to the date of the text we could believe effectively that this one is recent, but it is an old article taken out of the bottom of the drawer  ;)

the article says
Quote
Vulnerability Status:
The vendor was contacted and has immediately released HFS 2.2c which fixes these problems.

you should read it more carefully. ;)
