you should be clearer about this.
because uploading is by itself "remote", since you can do it via the internet.
describe a use case.

ya it would be great feature , let me explain

filehosts like rapidshare , hotfile ,filefactory and almost every host provide this feature , like if i want to upload a file to rapidshare
from other server/website with hotlink , i can do this direclty giving giving them the hotlink of file , i dont need to download the file first and then upload it

so it save time , bandwidth and effort
to see this feature live you can go to
http://www.filefactory.com/

then click on remote , then u can see how it works , now mysoogal wants this feature in HFS , i think i need it too cuz i m running hfs on my dedi server.

they also support remote uploads with username and passwords and ftp also

http://username:password@hotfile.com/dl/...

ftp://username:password@anywebsite.com/anyfolder/anyfile.rar

like this :)

i hope i explained well , i m bookmarking this thread to see further developments and talk

Thanks alot rejetto

now it's perfectly clear.
i think it is already possible by scripting.
someone may like to make this possible to people,
i will ease his work by making the tough part. ;)

Is it possible now to use remote uploading from an other file server how it described from HFS-Lover? I can't find anything in the user interface.
