it now starts appearing on the laptop while it didnt before

Sometimes an image is worth a lot of words, but in your case you should explain what your problem is, if you want an answer.

If your problem is to see a lot of requests, then this is not a problem with hfs, but with you: You are publishing in this public forum several times links to your server, so you can expect that lot of readers and spiders use this links, what means that you get a lot of requests.

Bacter has absolutely right.
And maybe if your server resources were protected (id, Pass), you'd have fewer leechers trying to connect it.

he is referring to "requesting" instead of usual "idle".
but opening new topics instead of replying to my past requests won't help.
